ferdinand doctolero
Ferdinand Doctolero was born in 1965. He is a professor in Fine Arts and a practicing graphic designer and artist. He graduated from the University of the Philippines and is currently taking up Master of Fine Arts program from the same university while teaching at the Technological University of the Philippines in Manila. Ferdinand has exhibited in numerous group shows and has won numerous awards in art since 1977, more notably Second Prize in the 1998 Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations in Tokyo, Japan, the Merit Prize in Asia's Trekking Guide to the Philippines, Finalist in the Philip Morris Group of Companies, Philippine Art Award 1997, Honorable Mention in the Philip Morris Group of Companies, Philippine Art Award 1996, Fifth Place in the Philip Morris Group of Companies, Asean Art Award 1995 in Jakarta, Indonesia, Jurors Choice in the Philip Morris Group of Companies, Philippine Art Award 1995, Honorable Mention in the Philip Morris Group of Companies, Philippine Art Award 1994, and Second Place-Oil Category Metrobank National Painting Competition 1990.
